Interactions, a bimonthly publication by the Association for Computing Machinery and the premiere magazine of the human-computer interaction discipline, features an article by School of Informatics and Computing faculty Davide Bolchini, Ph.D., and student Adam Neddo in its January/February edition.
The article, titled “Beyond interfaces and flows: Abstractions for mapping organic architectures,” illustrates an integrated conceptual tool for human-computer interaction designers. The tool is aimed at representing large-scale information architecture design maps for web and hypermedia applications, and innovatively combines the tradition of isometric mapping for website design and planning with rigorous modeling abstractions from the web engineering field.
