While earning her bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, Clayton worked as a resident assistant, and as an academic peer advisor. She had discovered her calling, and decided to alter her career path to work directly with college students.
Her career pivot brought her to Indiana, where she earned her master’s at Ball State University in Student Affairs and Administration in Higher Education.
After graduate school she was hired by University College at IUPUI, where she worked for five years as a career consultant, supporting STEM students in exploring their options for majors and careers before coming to SoIC in 2021.
Amy Maidi Assistant Dean of Student Services
Maidi earned her M.S. in Counseling and Educational Psychology from Indiana University, and has been employed by IU since 2003.

Shadiow joined SoIC in September 2021. As technology coordinator, he helps to oversee the day-to-day operations of the school’s client support team, including assisting staffers with computer hardware issues and installing new software.
He’s worked at IU for several years and has held positions within University Information Technology Services (UITS) and IU Studios.
A 2017 graduate of IUPUI, Shadiow hopes to one day pursue an M.S. in Cybersecurity Risk Management from IU.
