Richard Edwards, associate professor, IU School of Informatics and Computing, Media Arts & Science program, will join five fellow IUPUI faculty members for this semester’s Cutting Edge Lecture Series. Leading IUPUI professors will engage the campus and community in discussions about rapidly changing fields of inquiry in this on-campus lecture series. The speakers will share their expertise and insights regarding the applications of their current research endeavors.
Dr. Edwards’ talk is entitled “Noir Logics of New Media”. The Sept. 9th lecture combines two of Edwards’ professional passions – the darkly stylized movie genre of film noir, and digital storytelling.
