On December 14, students in the Informatics-Diversity Enhanced Workforce (iDEW) program at Arsenal Technical, Pike and Providence Cristo Rey high schools presented their final projects at the Semester-End Celebration and Competition at the School of Informatics and Computing at IUPUI. Various stakeholders from the community attended this event that started off with remarks by the IUPUI Chancellor Nasser Paydar.
The culminating project was a financial literacy trivia web application, demonstrating the students’ use of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The content for the project was supplied by Old National Bank, the sponsor of the student competition.
Each team presented a poster and demonstrated their app on a mobile device to distinguished guests from the IUPUI campus, industry and the community at large.
Visit the iDEW website to learn more or play the financial literacy trivia apps.
