Description
This course emphasizes an advanced understanding of the video signal and how to use that knowledge in effective production and post-production workflows. Many of today’s prosumer cameras are shooting extremely high-quality imagery and outpacing the ability of affordable monitors and televisions to display it. This advanced video technology has a much higher resolution, a wider range of brightness, and a wider range of colors than traditional video. In addition, imagery is frequently acquired in RAW format. (Before what is shot is converted into video footage, it is RAW data that can be manipulated in a much more aggressive manner than after it is converted to video footage.) Students learn how to work with this type of footage, and how to conform it to traditional video standards. Davinci Resolve is used for editing and color grading. Students can become certified in the software.
