Biography
Qingxue “Jack” Zhang, Ph.D., has almost two decades of experience in academia, medical, and industry, including his postdoc research at Harvard; product research and development in the high-tech industry as the lead system architect and team manager; and Ph.D. research at UT Dallas.
His research focuses on artificial intelligence and wearable technology, towards big data-driven smart health and precision medicine as well as intelligent world. He received the National Science Foundation’s prestigious CAREER Award, in support of faculty career advancement.
Zhang is dedicated to innovative efforts in AI theories/algorithms and wearable computers/monitors, and has extensive collaborations with biomedical and health experts, among many. He has over 50 journals/conferences/patents, and is a senior member of IEEE.
Selected achievements include:
- Cutting-edge efforts on AI&Wearable for Medical, funded by NSF CISE, NSF ENG, etc.
- Grant reviewer for around 20 NSF/NIH/NIST panels and study-sections.
- Chair/committee for multiple top IEEE Conferences/workshops like IEEE ICCE, IEEE IPCCC, DAC, etc.
- Featured journal article, best paper award, favorite professor, etc.
- Associate Editor for multiple IEEE Journals, and scientific manuscript reviewer for 15+ top journals including Nature Scientific Report, various IEEE Transactions, among others.
