Biography
Dr. Patrick Hutchinson has been working in libraries for over 25 years and has taught online for 18. His main areas of interest are reference and information services, introduction to the library profession, and how to use new technology in the classroom. He is a faculty member at several institutions nationwide, including San Jose State University, eCornell, Landmark College, Southern Utah University and UMass Global. He is also a reference librarian at Northeastern University. His dissertation focused on how international students make sense of their experiences taking information literacy courses.
Dr. Hutchinson is interested in continuing research into his dissertation topic, as well as researching more on the role of LGBTQ+ librarians at academic libraries. He lives in Boston and enjoys traveling, reading, and engaging with future librarians!
