- Bachelor of Arts Psychology with minors in Sociology and Social Work, Marian University
Biography
From: Born on the Northeast side of Chicago, I spent my early childhood there before moving to various places in Indiana, eventually settling in Indianapolis, where I’ve lived for approximately 10 years.
Background: I am a first-generation college graduate, earning my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with double minors in Sociology and Social Work from Marian University as a 21st Century Scholar. I became the first Latina of my cohort to earn a Master of Arts in Leadership Practice in 2025. My career journey includes working as a Vocational Rehab Employment Specialist at Cummins Behavioral Health, Inc., career services roles at Marian University, and as a Career Coach at Ivy Tech for the School of Arts, Sciences, and Education. I now proudly serve as the Assistant Program Director of Career Services at the IU Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering. My passion for empowering others comes from my own experience of navigating life independently and wanting to be the support I once needed.
What else?: I enjoy speaking, resting, exercising, exploring new places, and inspiring others by sharing my story. Fun fact: My name is inspired by Lilandra Nermani from Marvel’s X-Men comic books.
