Biography
Elizabeth “Betsy” Reichart is a former library director, academic librarian, and school library media specialist.
Previously, she was an academic librarian for Delaware Technical Community College, librarian and an instructor of information literacy at Penn Foster College, and director of the Library Science K-12 Certification Program at Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania. She’s held positions as a director of two public libraries in Pennsylvania and Delaware and had been a lead school library media specialist for three K-12 schools in New York and Pennsylvania.
A past chair of the Pennsylvania Library Association’s College and Research Division, she has presented at American Library Association annual conferences, and at various conferences and workshops sponsored by the Pennsylvania Library Association.
Reichart’s credentials include a K-12 Library Media Certification from the State of New York; Public Librarian’s Certification from New York and Pennsylvania, Webmaster and Instructional Technology Certificate from Penn State; a Post-Grad Certificate in Institutional Assessment from the State University of New York, Courtland; a Post-Grad Certificate in Instructional Design from the University of Maryland Global Campus and is currently working toward a second master’s in Instructional Design from the University of Maryland.
