Biography
Austin Stroud began teaching part-time for the Department of Library and Information Science in October 2015. As of August 1, 2024, he is a full-time lecturer in the department. He previously worked as a public library director in Indiana, and has taught for Ivy Tech Community College, University of Kentucky, Valdosta State University, and University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Austin currently is working on his dissertation toward a Ph.D. in Information Studies at Dominican University. His dissertation focuses on how high-level programming languages are used in ALA-accredited online M.L.I.S. programs. His other general research interests are in public libraries, library technology, instructional design, and labor unions.
