Biography
Angela Murillo focuses her research on data curation, scientific data management, data cyberinfrastructure, and data science education. She has worked in industry, government agencies, and academia and brings those perspectives into her research and teaching. Before coming to IU Indianapolis, she worked as a research and development information scientist at the global biotechnology company Novozymes.
She developed and directs the Data Science undergraduate program and was awarded the Indiana University Trustees’ Teaching Award in 2022.
