The School of Informatics and Computing (SoIC) at IUPUI will now be able to offer an Honors Program to undergraduate students that seek honors level courses.
The new Honors Program will provide students, with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, the option to apply upon completion of 12 IUPUI credit hours.
Students will only be admitted in the fall with a limited acceptance of 25 students in an academic year. Once accepted, students will be required to complete 24 credit hours of honors courses during their remaining time at IUPUI, of which 15 credit hours must be within the SoIC. To graduate with honors, students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.3.
“We are excited to be able to offer an Honors Program. There are students that will be significantly impacted as it provides them with an added opportunity to heighten their undergraduate academic experience,” said Karl MacDorman, associate dean of academic affairs at SoIC.
