Apply your skills toward digital curation in information and cultural heritage institutions through our 5-year accelerated degree program. Students who combine design and media skills from the Media Arts and Science program with the ability to facilitate learning and information behavior from the Master of Library and Information Science program will have the potential to move beyond traditional media and entertainment careers to create engaging, motivating learning and teaching tools and environments in information institutions.
While current Media Arts graduates are successfully employed in various entertainment industries, the career opportunity for Media Arts students can be broadened if students recognize different sectors that they can apply their existing skills and competencies including the growing EdTech Industry. Students may use this degree to become: an interactive exhibit developer or website developer; media specialist at a university or school library who integrates technology in instruction to design learning tools, online course development; designer in an organization to train employees with VR, simulations, or digital games.
