Dr. Mohammad Kabir Hossain joined Indiana University Indianapolis in 2024. Before that, he served as an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the University of Minnesota Crookston, where he taught a broad range of courses in Computer Science and Software Engineering, including Programming Languages, Data Structures and Algorithms, Software Architecture and Design, Software Quality Assurance and Testing, Analysis and Design of Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Database Management Systems, Cybercrime, and Digital Forensics.
Dr. Hossain’s research interests span Knowledge Discovery, Data Mining, Cybersecurity, Data Security, Machine Learning, and Software Engineering. He has published numerous research articles in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences. Currently, he serves as the Program Committee Chair of the International Conference on Computers and Their Applications (CATA) and is an active member of the International Society for Computers and Their Applications (ISCA).
In addition to his academic experience, Dr. Hossain has extensive industry experience, having worked as a database administrator and software developer in various organizations.
